The idea
Research, teaching, management or advisory roles can still count as medical practice in Australia, which require practicing registration.
The job title alone does not determine whether registration is needed.
How it works
Get a written job description and ask the employer and Ahpra to clarify the requirements. If practising registration is required, explore the relevant general or specialist route.
What to keep in mind
Non-practising registration does not allow medical practice. If registration is not required, you still need to meet the employer’s requirements and have permission to work.
