Expedited Specialist pathway
Apply directly to Ahpra if your exact specialist qualification meets the accepted-list rules.
The idea
For selected overseas specialist qualifications, you can apply without first having a college review your training.
How it works
Your application for the Expedited Specialist Pathway is assessed directly by Ahpra.
You still need to meet registration requirements and complete the required approved supervision, orientation, cultural safety education and assessments, unless an exemption applies. Registration may have conditions while you complete these.
Your job position must have the required approval before you start. This route does not automatically give college fellowship.
What to keep in mind
If you do not qualify, you can explore specialist recognition through a college, or consider non-specialist pathways via Competent Authority or Standard pathways.
